All of our galleries (MCEM/RCEME/Vehicle) spaces are now open, with physical distancing and safety measures in place. Some parts of the MCEM gallery will have to remain closed due to the social distancing guidelines and cleaning/disinfection guidelines in Stage 3. Barriers have been installed for the safety of the artifacts.  Please be sure to follow directional signage and other temporary restrictions. For your safety, some interactive elements in the galleries are temporarily unavailable.

As of 22 September 2021 visitors to the gallery are required to show proof of double vaccination to gain access to the site.

Food and drinks are not permitted in the galleries.

TIMED ONLINE TICKETING

To manage the number of visitors inside the Museum, we have introduced timed ticketing for self-guided tours (9 am and 11 am entry), with access limited to 50 people at a time. This allows visitors a maximum visit time of one and half hours in the galleries before we will disinfect the galleries.

All visitors are required to have a timed ticket to have access to the galleries.

Please arrive at the Museum no earlier than 10 minutes before and no later than 30 minutes before the entry time on your ticket expires. Late arrivals may not be permitted entry.

To book your tickets go to the Mercury Shop website https://themercuryshop.myshopify.com/search?q=tickets

MASKS

All visitors ages 5 and up are required to wear a mask covering the nose, mouth and chin while inside the Museum. But we highly recommend that all visitors ages 2 and up wear a mask. To keep our staff and other visitors safe, please take your used mask home when you leave the Museum.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

We encourage visitors to respect physical distancing measures both inside the Museum and on the grounds. We have added signage to remind visitors to keep a safe distance — 2 metres (6 feet) — from those outside their visiting group.

We also ask that all visitors observe the following protocols:

·         Do not remove your mask when inside the museum, even in the bathrooms

·         Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer often.

·         Avoid any unnecessary touching of surfaces at the Museum.

CLEANING PROTOCOLS

We have significantly increased the frequency and extent of cleaning at the Museum. All surfaces — such as door handles, countertops, and handrails — are disinfected frequently throughout the day, and washroom cleaning is a priority.

Washrooms will be cleaned daily and disinfected at least twice a day. High touch points will be disinfected at least three times daily.

GLOVES, HAND SANITIZER AND HANDWASHING

Gloves are not required. We have increased the number of hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the facility (Entrance/Mercury Shop/Conference Room/Galleries), and washrooms are open for visitors to wash their hands with soap and water.

The health and safety of our staff and visitors is our highest priority!
